Hi there! I’m Emily Cyrwus, and I’m excited to be running my very first Chicago Marathon in 2025! But this isn’t just any race—it’s a race for a cause close to my heart. I’m running to support Opportunity Knocks, an incredible organization that provides life-changing programs for people with special needs. During college, I had the privilege of meeting some of the Warriors (participants) through a charity event, and it was an experience that left a lasting impact on me. The funds raised through this marathon will directly benefit Opportunity Knocks.

As I’m still mastering the art of not tripping over my own feet, and while my pace may not be setting any records, my commitment to this cause is full-speed ahead. If you’re in a position to give, I would be incredibly grateful. Every dollar counts, whether it’s the cost of a cup of coffee or a lavish dinner you’re willing to trade for a good cause.
