'We focus on abilities, not disabilities and we welcome every body to join us in the OK Mission where we form a collaboration, built WITH, NOT FOR the Warriors, families and communities.

We view individuals living with intellectual and developmental differences as Warriors, champions of their own journeys. Rather than seeing ourselves as the providers of enrichment and empowerment, we see our role as partners in co-creating opportunities.'

About Team Ella

Hi everyone!

I am beyond excited to be running my first ever marathon! Throughout my four years at the University of Vermont, I've discovered a true joy in running, and what better way to challenge myself than by tackling 26.2 miles? (Wow, that sounds long!)

Even more meaningful than the race itself is the cause I'm running for. Opportunity Knocks (OK) is a nonprofit in my community that works with individuals living with intellectual and developmental differences. I had the privilege of volunteering with OK during high school; it’s truly an incredible organization. I’d love your support as I fundraise, train, and take on this challenge on behalf of the OK Warriors. Whether it's a words of encouragement, donations, or cheering from the sidelines, I appreciate every bit of it! Can't wait to cross that finish line in Chicago!
